Learning from Case Reviews: Child A

Location:Brighton & Hove
Duration:3 Hours

These briefings will now take place in the autumn term

Why is the LSCB providing this course?

A Serious Case Review should be carried out for every case where abuse or neglect is known or suspected and either a child dies; or a child is seriously harmed and there are concerns about how organisations or professionals worked together to safeguard the child.

It is important if Brighton & Hove is to become a safer place for children to live for everyone to embrace the learning from reviews and take the necessary steps to help put right the issues identified. This briefing session will share the learning and key messages from the Child A SCR published in June 2017, and provide practitioners across the partnership with an opportunity to consider the findings about the effectiveness of local practice.
