This event will be facilitated by the Senior Safeguarding Manager for Brighton & Hove Albion – Richard Valder-Davis.

As part of B&H Safeguarding Awareness week, Brighton & Hove Albion FC & The Sussex County FA are providing a platform for Sports organisations within the city to join together and celebrate the good work carried out to Safeguard Children & Adults at risk.

The evening will share practical insights and advice into why giving Children a Voice is key to ‘Safeguarding in a Sporting’ context. There will be opportunities to network and discuss current themes on the local ‘Safeguarding in Sport’ agenda.

This event is aimed at Safeguarding leads within sport and those responsible for championing Safeguarding in Sports in Brighton & Hove.

Food & refreshments will be available at the start of the evening.

Learning Outcomes

A supportive event to share and discuss good practice.

(1) Social media threats bespoke to sports environment

(2) Contextual Safeguarding in your sporting environment

(3) Confidence of being a Safeguarding Professional within an Amateur sport

Target Audience
This event will be relevant to both statutory and non-statutory staff, particularly those who have sport as part of their working environments.
